At PEAK we know that in order to provide the best service for our customers it is essential to have ideas from an expert panel of advisors. We welcome the challenge that they provide and the input they bring to our team.

Barbara Veeramallay-Permaul

Over the past 15 years Barbara has been instrumental in supporting and building new organisations in all aspects of operations, quality and safeguarding in the delivery of apprenticeships. She has a great passion in building strong foundations in educational settings and ensuring organisations have the right fit in policies and procedures with a lens on company growth and success.

 

Her approach is to understand organisations through self-assessment and quality improvement planning with a common sense approach to meet the needs of learners and their employers.

 

She has guided over 4 SME apprenticeship organisations from set up to first Ofsted and ESFA monitoring as a Nominee and prior to that she has been involved in 3 full inspections with more established mature organisations. All with a good track record of success.

For the past 6 years Barbara has gained great understanding in Safeguarding and welfare of learners in the educational space and has led teams in several organisations to meet the needs of Safeguarding, Prevent and British Values agendas. She is qualified to level 3 DSO and a Mental Health First Aider.

Tony Allen MCIPD MCMI

Tony Allen is the Founder and CEO of AAS Ltd. AAS Ltd provides management support to employers, training providers and colleges in respect of skills and organisational development in general, and apprenticeships, including quality, compliance and governance, in particular.

 

Prior to setting up his own company in 2016, Tony was the Skills Funding Agency’s (SFA) Deputy Director for the Large Companies Unit. His team managed the relationship with all employers who held a direct contract with the SFA.

 

Prior to this role, Tony held a number of appointments with the SFA and Learning and Skills Council (LSC). These included, Area Director for Kent and Medway, Area Director for the South East, and also Regional Skills Director for the South East. Tony joined the LSC in 2002.

 

Prior to joining the LSC, Tony spent 25 years in the Hospitality and Catering industry. This included 17 years with Whitbread PLC in operational, HR and strategic roles.

Paul Graham

Paul is a former basketball player for the Newcastle Eagles and former Managing Director of Highbury College in Portmouth.

Recently Paul was the vice-principal of Education Partnership North East (Middlesbrough College) and is currently MD of ConnectEDucate.

He is an experienced managing director with experience of Curriculum Development with a demonstrated history of improving results and growing curriculum in the Further Education industry. Skilled in Data Analysis, Staff development, Business Development, Business Strategy, Strategic Partnerships and Curriculum Development. Strong education professional with a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Computer Science, a PGCE and degree.
