What do you do at PEAK?
I am a new addition to PEAK and I will be delivering Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeships. I absolutely love my job as an assessor, as it gives me great satisfaction whenever I see my learners achieve their own personal goals in life. It is important to me that my learners feel at ease within their learning journey, I am here to support and encourage them to achieve their ambitions.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position?
My training career began in 2016 when I was no longer able to carry out my duties as a supervisor/manager for my parents’ businesses. I went to Sunderland College & completed a Level 2 in Business Administration & gained employment though a Training company, while there I was made Compliance officer just after a few months, then MIS support manager a year later. I felt as though I needed to achieve more & I loved the assessing side of Training, so I was given the opportunity to gain my Assessor award. I kept my training up to date & gained my Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration along with other work-related qualifications.

What do you like about working at PEAK/What are you looking forward to when working at PEAK?
PEAK gives me the flexibility & a healthy work life balance. In the short space I have worked for PEAK, I feel supported & appreciated within my job role (nothing is any trouble & staff are all supportive). I love visiting a variety of places and forming rapports with different learners, managers, supervisors, mentors. They are never 2days the same, which makes your working day more exciting. I feel privileged to work alongside such a great team of individuals.
What’s your background?
I grow up in the City of Sunderland with my parents and 3 other siblings (Yes, I’m a middle child). I have two wonderful children of my own & a rather large extended family, who I feel have all impacted me in their own special way. My late nana inspired me the most, with having 11 children of her own & 29 grandchildren (lost count of the great-grandchildren) she still had time to give me advise, guidance & support when needed & other times when not but I would take it all on board. I have gone through some extremely tough times in my life (more then a few, but I’ll not bore with the details) Keep in mind what doesn’t break you, only makes you stronger!
My favourite food growing up was spaghetti Bolognese & of course a good old Sunday roast, which I still love now (how doesn’t love a good old roast dinner?).
What are the values that drive you?
Truthfulness, being positive, reliable, fairness, dignity, freedom, responsibility & kindness is all the values that drive me. By implementing all these values, it not only helps me to achieve my end goal & help builds trust with others.
