PEAK have been working extensively throughout 2020 and 2021 to ensure that we are Covid SAFE, now we continue into 2022.

Nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of the children that we come into contact with, our partner school's colleagues and of course our own team of staff.

We have undertaken a wide range of measures to meet this priority. These include:

  • Extensive staff training to ensure we are delivering safe Physical Education.

  • CPD on new topics, such as Yoga, to maintain a wide and varied curriculum whilst meeting school's requirements for teaching.

  • Production of video challenges for home learning.

  • Development of home learning materials in case we have to provide resources for a class or school who may have to self-isolate.

  • Investment in thermal misting technology to sanitise equipment and venues for our holiday camps.

  • Thorough risk assessments and new operating guidance to keep staff and children safe.

  • Investment in PPE for our team at holiday camps and whilst working in schools.

  • Liaison with partner companies in the Aspire Active Partnership to ensure that we are up to date with all current government guidance and have embedded this into our routines.

  • Development of a bank of resources that incorporate socially distanced learning and NGB safe activities for different sports.

  • Investment in video communication software to enable us to continue to work remotely.

  • Development of an 'open book' policy, in line with Government guidelines to ensure that any savings we made as a result of Coronavirus is distributed back to our partner schools.

  • Development of our curriculum to assist children's recovery from the consequences of lockdown.

  • Liaison with all of our partner schools to ensure that PEAK can operate safely whilst on their site.

  • Requirement that all of our Educators complete a weekly health questionnaire before we allow them into schools.

  • Recruitment of additional staff to ensure we can provide uninterrupted service to schools in the event that one of our Educators becomes unwell or has to self-isolate.
